Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, schedule, guest picker for Week 7 on ESPN

For the third straight week, “College GameDay” will feature a meeting of top-10 teams.

This week, that takes the form of an SEC matchup between No. 2 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia — the conference’s last remaining undefeated teams just four weeks into its season. While Saturday’s game is the only guaranteed meeting between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs, they could see each other again in the SEC championship game on Dec. 19. So, will Saturday’s monumental matchup be the only of the season, or a precursor to a December rematch?

Regardless, the outcome of Saturday’s contest will hinge on both teams’ defenses; for Georgia’s second-ranked unit, that includes limiting one of the most prolific offense in the country in Mac Jones, Najee Harris, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith. For Alabama’s, that entails making even a few stops against Stetson Bennett, Zamir White and Co.

Here’s everything you need to know about “College GameDay” as it visits the Tuscaloosa, Ala.:

The “College GameDay” crew of Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit and David Pollack will preview Week 7’s college football action live from Tuscaloosa, Ala. Lee Corso, whose health is at greater risk should he contract COVID-19, has to this point set up a remote office in his home. The game will be broadcast on CBS, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET.

“GameDay” has several options to consider for its Week 8 site; depending on the outcome of Saturday’s games, it could consider a trek to Knoxville, Tenn., for a ranked matchup between No. 2 Alabama and No. 18 Tennessee. Another option is Stillwater, Okla., for a potential ranked meeting between No. 7 Oklahoma State and No. 20 Iowa State. But the Big Ten also returns to football that week, and “GameDay” could head to Minneapolis for No. 19 Michigan at No. 24 Minnesota or Columbus, Ohio for Nebraska at No. 6 Ohio State.
