Antonio Brown will likely play in the NFL in 2020 after reportedly agreeing to the framework of a contract with the Buccaneers on Friday.
The wide receiver is suspended through Week 8 because of allegations he attacked a delivery truck driver. He faces separate sexual assault accusations and has long been a controversial locker room figure for his squabbles with teammates and coaches.
Brown’s bizarre stint with the Raiders last year involved a hot air balloon, frostbitten feet, cryptic social media videos and zero games played. His time with the Patriots didn’t go much better — he played one game before being released amid a sexual misconduct claim.
So NFL fans aren’t sure Brown will last long in Tampa Bay. News of his potential signing was met with ridicule on social media, as well as fantasy football commentary and hope from select Buccaneers fans that the high-risk move would pay off.
